The Bride's Day

Child with Reflection of Bride

One day this will be my fairytale come true.

Finally!!!

The day is really here.

After all the running around and months of compromises, setbacks, taste testing, color schemes, fancy invitations, lists, the must haves and the no ways, it all comes down to this one special day. Up to this point it has been about everything else. Today it's all about me. Today I let go of the clip board and relinquish the reins to the professionals. I'm having the team at Tahoe Weddings A-Gogo make my wedding party sparkle.

Last night was great, the rehersal went without a hitch, and there was  a buzz in the air. Now, finally now, it is all about me. This feels so right, and it's so beautiful this morning. I love that I can finally  feel of relaxed. The girls should be here soon and the magic of transformation will commence.

I am so glad that I don't have to do any running around like my friend did last year when she got married. I thought she was going to come ungluded when she got back to her hotel from being at the beauty salon. They ran so far behind and the traffic was a nightmare. Well those problems are not for me.

So here I am on the morning of the big day. I am lounging around in my robe and slippers, sipping a cup of locally roasted coffee and waiting for the girls to arrive. We have champagne chilling, orange and crandberry juice for Mimosas, and a tray of pastries and fruit to be devoured. I am completely relaxed and full of energy.

Let's see,  we have toes to be polished and  honeymoon stories to gossip about as the girls start to arrive. Now the fun begins. We hear a knock on the door and the first to arrive is the hair and makeup team from Tahoe Weddings A-Gogo. I am so glad that I had a trail run ahead of time so that I know that this is going to be exactly what I have imagined, so much fun and completely stress free.

Just as the Cinderella story unfolded, everything went as rehearsed. The hair went up, the makeup went on and it was time to don the gowns. With a honk of the horn and a knock at the door, we knew the limo had arrived.

It was time.
